You only really use split-screen in order for this rebuild to work (which is included in the description of this rebuild). This rebuild works pretty good besides the many soft/hard locks like it says. Thank you to the anonymous donor of this extremely rare artifact of gaming history! The menus in this prototype are somewhat confusing in that instead of a list of values, a given option will only show the current value, and must be cycled using left and right on the D-pad. Selecting the Airport map will cause the game to lock up. However, by using the "Dev Console" to select split-screen mode, most of the maps built into the prototype can be explored: Docks, Ghetto, Goth, Railyard, and SCenter. The prototype behaves the same way in all three: the menus are functional, but attempting to start the game in MOST ways will cause the prototype to lock up. The improved rebuilt ISO (Twisted_Metal-Harbor_City-Prototype-Rebuilt-63-Patched.iso) will boot in PCSX2, a PS3 DEX, or a PS2 Test.

The levels are a massive suburban area, a giant stadium, a local carnival and a ship yard.Īnother feature is the ability to walk around in an asylum as Sweet Tooth, a feature that was being worked on for the new Twisted Metal that was going to be used for character based foot missions. It features the characters from Twisted Metal: Black, but with new stories (unfortunately, no endings were done for them) and two extra characters, 12-Pak and Gold Tooth.
One of the changes is the inclusion of four lost levels of a new Twisted Metal game that was never finished (it was cancelled after six members of the production team died in a plane crash).
This is a conversion of the PSP version of Twisted Metal: Head-On, but with some differences.
